In-depth knowledge and human factors (SMT 3): the avalanche course for experts
This advanced course is designed for experts looking to deepen their modern avalanche knowledge and master all the skills necessary to safely plan and execute a winter alpine tour.

- Successful completion of Module 2 or equivalent experience
Training Objectives:
Over the course of two days, this module aims to:
- Review modules 1 and 2: Consolidate your knowledge and prepare for more complex situations.
- Avalanche analysis: Learn to analyze typical avalanche situations in detail.
- Identify weak layers: Master the identification of weak layers in the snowpack.
- Human factors: Understand your psychological profile, pressure, perception, and senses.
- Leadership and group dynamics: Develop leadership skills and understand group dynamics.
- Effective communication: Learn to communicate your decisions and make yourself understood within a group.
- Decision making: Be able to make decisions in key areas by analyzing risks.
- Disruption management: Master the management of disruptions during your outings.
- Culture of exchange: Develop a culture of exchange and feedback to learn from mistakes.
