Gain or refresh the essential skills to explore off-piste with more enjoyment and safety !

Objectives of the Day:

• Understand the avalanche bulletin
• Master the use and functionality of your avalanche transceiver (DVA)
• Awareness of the main winter hazards (avalanches, cold, weather conditions, cornices, disorientation, falls…)
• Introduction to the 3×3 method
• Understand the 4 typical avalanche situations and know how to answer the question: “What is the main danger today?”
• Learn how to perform a simple rescue

Level and equipment

• Safety equipment: avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe
• Skis or snowboard (touring skis or splitboard are not essential)
