Objective Grand-Combin !

Day 1 :

• Elevation : +800m
• Duration: Approximately 2h30 of hiking

Meeting point at Orsières in the late morning for a coffee, followed by the ascent to the Vélan hut.

Day 2 :

• Elevation : +1100m
• Duration : Approximately 6 hours round trip
• Mixed terrain: rocky ascent and glacial descent

Night departure through moraines and a small glacier to reach the Col de la Gouille. Ascent of the Gouille ridge, offering varied and airy passages. Arrival on the glacial dome of Vélan with a magnificent view of the north face. Descent via the Valsorey glacier back to the Vélan hut.

Day 3 :

• Elevation : -300m/+600m
• Duration : Approximately 3h30 of hiking

Transition day to continue acclimatization and recharge. Descent of 300m, then ascent to the Valsorey hut at 3030m. The afternoon is dedicated to climbing, training, or resting according to your preferences.

Day 4 :

• Elevation : +1300m
• Duration : Approximately 8 hours round trip

Night departure for the final objective. Access to the Col du Meitin on snow or by a path, depending on the conditions. Climb the Meitin ridge through three successive steps to the Combin de Valsorey. Final ascent to the Combin de Grafeneire, easier but at high altitude. Descent by the same route to return to the hut and celebrate the climb.
