The Grand Darray : SE Ridge

Discover this stunning ridge climb, far from the crowds. The route offers beautiful, accessible climbing sections on solid granite, all set in an exceptional environment. Throughout the ascent, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Mont Dolent, Aiguille d’Argentière, and the majestic peaks of the Mont Blanc massif.

Your outing

After a hike from La Fouly, you will reach the authentic A Neuve Hut for a well-deserved night’s rest. The next morning, after an early start, you will ascend to the Col des Essettes, the starting point of the climb via the SE ridge. After reaching the summit, you will descend via the NE ridge and return to the valley following the same route as the previous day.
