Route planning and decision making in the terrain (SMT2)
You know the basics of avalanche rescue and would like to go further to improve your decision-making in the terrain?
The module consists of two days of training with the following main objectives:
- Review the knowledge of Module 1 | Safety & Avalanches
- How to plan your mountain outing
- Deepen your knowledge of 3×3 (conditions – terrain – human)
- Be sensitized to the protection of the fauna/flora
- Know how to estimate and measure the steepness of the slope
- Know how to apply the graphic reduction method
- Know the behaviors that reduce risk
- Be able to execute a rescue action
