Activity details

Knowing how to use your avalanche safety equipment is essential, but learning to recognise potentially dangerous situations is just as important. This two-day course will help you deepen your understanding of winter mountain conditions and develop your ability to make informed decisions.

Accompanied by a certified mountain guide, you’ll learn how to assess the terrain, identify factors that may affect snowpack stability and better interpret the information available before heading into the mountains.

Through practical exercises and real-life scenarios, you’ll discover how to adapt your route choices to the conditions and take different risk factors into account when making decisions.

A particularly valuable course for ski tourers and off-piste skiers looking to develop a more thoughtful, informed and independent approach to skiing in the mountains.
