Day 1 : Argentière – Refuge d’Argentière

  • Elevation : +210m/-670m
  • Duration : Approximately 5 hours

Morning meeting in Martigny, transfer by train or taxi to Argentière. Take the lifts to Grands Montets (3225m), then descend and climb to Argentière Refuge (2771m).

Day 2 : Refuge d’Argentière – Cabane Trient

  • Elevation : +950m/-560m
  • Duration : 5 to 7 hours

Traverse the Col du Chardonnet (3321m) and the Fenêtre de Saleinaz (3361m) to reach Trient Hut (3170m).

Day 3 : Cabane Trient – Cabane Prafleuri

  • Elevation : +850m/-2700m
  • Duration : 6 to 8 hours

Cross the Val d’Arpette via the Col des Ecandies (2796m), descend to Champex (1600m), and transfer by taxi to Le Châble. Take the gondola to Les Gentianes (2900m), then traverse the Col de La Chaux (2940m) and ascend Rosablanche (3336m) before arriving at Prafleuri Hut (2621m).

Day 4 : Cabane Prafleuri  – Cabane des Dix

  • Elevation : +730m/-330m
  • Duration : 4 to 5 hours

Cross the Lac des Dix and ascend to Dix Hut (2928m).

Day 5 : Cabane des Dix – Cabane des Vignettes

  • Elevation : +900m/-700m
  • Duration : 5 to 6 hours

Ascend Pigne d’Arolla (3790m) and descend to Vignettes Hut (3160m).

Day 6 : Cabane des Vignettes – Zermatt

  • Elevation : +1150m/-2000m
  • Duration : 7.5 to 9.5 hours

Cross the Cols de l’Evêque (3382m), Mont Brûlé (3213m), and Valpelline (3557m), then descend the Stockji Glacier to Zermatt. Return to Martigny by train or taxi.
