Verbier – Zermatt in 5 days

Follow the tracks of our pioneers through unique alpine surroundings that the Haute Route has to offer. A fabulous moment and a right of passage for any self respecting ski tourer. Approach the adventure with an experienced mountain guide, let him take care of logistics. This way you will have the time to soak up the unbelievable views without having to worry about the little things.

Program

1st day : Verbier – Cabane Prafleuri
Starting from the Verbier ski lifts and then by skins to the Col de La Chaux. After a short descent, ascent of the Rosablanche, a summit overlooking the Val de Bagnes at 3337 m. Descent to the Prafleuri hut (2935 m.)

2nd day : Cabane Prafleuri – Cabane des Dix
A transition stage to the most beautiful alpine summits. Ascent to the Col des Roux (2804 m.) then crossing along the Lac des Dix and climbing to the hut of the same name (2928 m.). Night at the foot of the Mont-Blanc de Cheillon.

3rd day : Ascent of the Pigne d’Arolla
Ascent to a viewpoint located in the heart of the Alps, the Pigne d’Arolla which culminates at 3790 m. Descent to the Vignettes hut (3160 m.).

4th day : Cabane des Vignettes – Cabane Bertol
Crossing to the Col de L’Evêque (3386 m.) then descent to the high glacier of Arolla. Ascent to the Bertol hut (3311 m.) from where the Dent-Blanche appears majestic.

5th day : Cabane Bertol – Zermatt
The last stage represents the crowning achievement of the Haute Route, with the ascent of the Tête Blanche (3724 m.) and the gradual discovery of the lords of the Alps.
Descent to the foot of the impressive N faces of the Dent d’Hérens and the Matterhorn, pleasant return to civilization towards Zermatt
